November 12, 2021 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Ottawa 67's News Release
Before kicking off a four-game road trip, the Ottawa 67's (8-4-1) will play one more at home, Friday night, when the Mississauga Steelheads (6-4-1) come to town. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00pm EST, and Barber Poles fans can catch all the action on Rogers TV, or with a CHL TV subscription. Kenny Walls has the radio call on TSN 1200.
It's Canadian Armed Forces Appreciation Night at The Arena at TD Place, where the 67's will honour the sacrifices of our men and women in uniform throughout the evening.
A shorthanded group of 67's, sans Jack Beck and Adam Varga, gave the Kingston Frontenacs all they could handle on Tuesday night, but were ultimately defeated 4-3 in a shootout. Vinzenz Rohrer led the way with two goals, while Vsevolod Gaidamak tallied another as part of a two-point game. Will Cranley made 34 saves in the effort.
The Steelheads, winners of four straight, last played Sunday night, beating the Niagara IceDogs by a final score of 4-1. Chas Sharpe scored twice, with Luca Del Bel Belluz and Ty Collins also chipping in. Goaltender Roman Basran stopped 21 of 22 Niagara shots.
