TONIGHT:

The Ontario Reign (42-16-3-3=90 points) host the Stockton Thunder (32-24-5-4=73 points) for the final time in the 2013-14 regular season. The Reign lead the season series 5-3-1-1.

The Reign are 23-7-2-1 at home with a current home streak of 1-0-0-0. The Thunder are 12-15-3-3 on the road with a current road streak of 1-0-0-0 - their last road game was at Citizens Business Bank Arena when they beat the Reign 3-2 in a shootout.

HOW THEY RANK:

The Reign clinched the Pacific Division for the second year in a row with their 1-0 win at Bakersfield last weekend. They are second in the Western Conference, and second in the league with 90 points. Alaska is ahead of Ontario by 9 points and Idaho is right behind in the Conference with 87 points. The Stockton Thunder finished second in the Pacific Division, fourth in the Western Conference, and 11th in the league with 73 points.

FIRST PERIOD RECORDS:

Ontario thrives on first period momentum; when they're leading after the first period, the Reign haven't lost in regulation with a 22-0-1-2 record. On the flipside of that, when they're trailing after the first frame the Reign are 6-11-0-0. Although this doesn't always happen in the first period, when the Reign score first they have a 35-2-3-2 record ranking as the second best record in the entire league.

PUCK BETWEEN THE PIPES:

Ontario has held the league lead for fewest shots against with an average of just 24.66 per game. When it comes to getting it past the other team's goal line, Ontario ranks second with an average of 3.52 goals per game. The Reign's highest scoring game saw eight Reign tallies over the San Francisco Bulls. Only twice has the Reign been kept off the scoresheet with a Home Opener 4-0 shutout loss against Stockton, and a 3-0 loss against the Utah Grizzlies.
