TONIGHT

The Bakersfield Condors wrap up a four-game homestand with their final contest of the season series against the Utah Grizzlies. This is meeting number four between the two sides and the second at Rabobank Arena. Bakersfield has taken the last two games in the series after dropping the opener in West Valley City.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT

Bakersfield won for the second time in three games, earning a 2-1 shootout victory over Utah on Wednesday night at Rabobank Arena. RW Scott Freeman scored the game's opening goal in the first period and tallied the Condors lone shootout goal for the victory. G Brian Stewart was superb, denying 42 shots through regulation and overtime before picking up his second shootout win on the season with a perfect five-for-five mark on shootout attempts.

THE SITUATION

Bakersfield's win allowed them to keep pace with the San Francisco Bulls, who won 7-2 over Stockton on Wednesday night. The Condors sit eight points back of the Bulls with seven games remaining in the regular season. Bakersfield will host four of their final seven games on home ice. San Francisco is idle and then hosts Utah on Saturday and Sunday at home. The Condors are idle tomorrow before heading to Stockton on Sunday afternoon.

CONDORS NOTES

G Brian Stewart is 2nd in the ECHL with 2,039 saves, including his 11th 40+ save performance of the season... G Scott Greenham was loaned to the St. John's IceCaps (AHL) on Thursday. He leads the ECHL with a .962 shootout save percantage for goalies who have faced at least five attempts... RW Scott Freeman is a perfect 2-for-2 in shootout attempts this season. Wednesday was the first time this season that he scored a goal that was not a game-winner, although he did get credit for the shootout winner.
