Las Vegas Wranglers News Release
Loveland, Colo. - The Las Vegas Wranglers fell 2-1 to the Colorado Eagles tonight, edged by a power play goal from the top squad in the ECHL on the man advantage.
Eagles forward Chad Costello, newly returned to the team from the American Hockey League, scored the first goal of the game just 35 seconds into the first. Wranglers forward Josh Harris recorded his first professional goal less than five minutes later, tying the game 1-1. Colorado regained the one-goal lead eight seconds into their first power play of the night, going up 2-1 off the stick of forward Kyle Forney.
After the opening 20 minutes, Wranglers goaltender Joe Fallon and Eagles goaltender Adam Brown held each team scoreless, with both teams getting seven shots on goal in the second. The Eagles took the 13-10 shot advantage in the third, and without a game-tying goal, the Wranglers dropped their second game in a row in Colorado, 2-1.
The two teams play their final regular-season game against each other tomorrow night, and the Wranglers return home to face the Bakersfield Condors on Tuesday, March 19.
