TONIGHT:

The Ontario Reign (20-10-2-4) play their fifth home game against the Bakersfield Condors (17-16-1-3). The Reign are on a roll as of late, winning their last five in a row, while the Condors have dropped their last four consecutive games in regulation. The two teams will not meet again in Ontario until April for a pair of games; the two teams square off in Bakersfield for three more games this season from now until March.

BLACKWATER BURNING UP:

After being held out of the lineup for much of the first 30 days of the season, forward Judd Blackwater came alive near the end of December, and has been on a tear since, posting 15 points (10g-5a) over his last 10 games, while helping the Reign to a season-high seven-game unbeaten streak (6-0-0-1).

BIGOS BREAKS THROUGH:

After picking up several assists through his first 23 games this season, defenseman Kyle Bigos finally lit the lamp on his own last Wednesday, tallying his first of the year and first in a regular season contest since March 29, 2014. The defenseman has typically seen plenty of time on the squad's top defensive pairing, known more for his long reach and punishing body checks.

WALKER CONTINUES TORRID GOAL-SCORING PACE:

Geoff Walker continued his strong performance last week, adding on to his previous Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week by tallying a goal on Wednesday. He has now scored six goals over his last six games; Walker furthermore leads the Reign in points against Bakersfield with seven (2g-5a) in seven games.

CONDORS PREY ON SPECIAL TEAMS:

A major key to victory against Bakersfield will be for Ontario to use the power-play and penalty kill to its advantage. The Reign have scored six power-play goals on 26 chances against the Condors this year (23.1%), but the team has also surrendered nine goals on the penalty kill against 38 chances (71.1%).
