TONIGHT:
The Ontario Reign (30-15-3-5) have a rare Tuesday night single series match against the Alaska Aces (26-23-3-3). Ontario has seven games remaining against Alaska this season; this is the largest number of matches against one opponent out of the Reign's 19 remaining games. The Aces played last night in Bakersfield, and managed to pick up a point in a 5-4 shootout loss to the Condors. Ontario is 4-1-0-0 against Alaska this season.
HEAD ABOVE WATER:
The Reign finished February with a 4-3-1-1 record, good for a .556 win percentage during the month. Entering tonight's game, the team possesses a .642 win percentage on the season.
CARZO CLIMBING:
Already in the midst of a career season in terms of goals with 19, Rocco Carzo continues to climb up the ladder in team scoring, aided most recently by a six-game point streak in which he has totaled three goals and added four assists. The sophomore forward has become an integral part of the team's top-six forwards.
PK ON THE REBOUND:
After surrendering two power-play goals in three consecutive games, the Reign penalty kill has been a source of strength over the previous two matches, with a 3-for-3 performance on Feb. 20, and a 9-for-9 effort on Feb. 22.
