March 3, 2015 - ECHL (ECHL)
Brampton Beast News Release
BRAMPTON, ON - The Brampton Beast are set to transport their fans to a long time ago and a galaxy far, far away when they host Star Wars Night at the Powerade Centre on Friday, March 6 beginning at 7:30 PM.
With the 501st Canadian Garrison descending upon Brampton in full costume, the Beast will unveil their one-of-a-kind Lucas Film-approved Star Wars jerseys, becoming the first Canadian professional hockey team to wear the authentic sweaters.
A total of 25 of the game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off and are be sure to be a treasured collectable for diehard fans, with a portion of the proceeds going to support the Companies That Care program. Making things even more exciting is the fact that the Beast sweaters will feature nameplates depicting characters from the films chosen by the players themselves instead of their usual names in a Star Wars Name Draft.
