Levi Next to Get the Call to the AHL

Boise, ID. - The Stockton Thunder, owned by the Calgary Flames and proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's New York Islanders and the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, see defenseman Austin Levi reassigned to the Charlotte Checkers of the AHL by the Carolina Hurricanes of the NHL.

Levi, 23, heads to Charlotte after appearing in 43 games this season with the Thunder and Florida Everblades, registering 4 goals and 11 assists.

The Aurora, Colorado native gets his second call up this season to the AHL after appearing in 4 games in his first stint with Charlotte. Last season Levi played 10 games and scored one goal for the Checkers.

Levi was assigned to the Thunder by the Carolina Hurricanes as part of the agreement that sent the rights to Corey Trivino to the Florida Everblades. Levi started the season in Florida, playing 3 games before playing 40 games with the Thunder.
