March 3, 2015 - ECHL (ECHL)
Evansville IceMen News Release
EVANSVILLE, Ind.- The Evansville IceMen, presented by Coors Light, will wrap up their season series with Kalamazoo Wings on Wednesday Night at the Ford Center. A win for the IceMen would create in split in the four-game season series. Evansville will also hope to break the trend that has emerged between the two teams. So far with the road team winning each of the previous three meetings this season.
Evansville leads the all-time series with wins in 10 of the previous 19 meetings and points in 12 games with Kalamazoo. This includes a big 7-3 win over Kalamazoo on February 21st, which saw the IceMen produce their highest goal total of the season.
In that IceMen victory, seven Evansville players finished with two points or more. Branden Komm earned his first IceMen win and his first pro point with an assist on Mark Anthoine's empty netter.
Former Kalamazoo Wings have led the way for the IceMen against their former team. After playing for Kalamazoo the last two seasons, Brandon Martell has scored a goal and dished out two assists in a pair of games with Kalamazoo.
Colin Murray started the season with the Wings and led them in scoring during the preseason. He has a goal in each game he's played against Kalamazoo this season.
Travis Granbois matched an IceMen season high with a +4 rating and added two assists in his only meeting with his former team this season.
Jarret Lukin, who never played for Kalamazoo, has also crushed the K-Wings this season. Lukin has a goal and four assists in two meetings with Kalamazoo this year.
Chris Driedger will also make his return to Evansville following two weeks in the NHL on Wednesday. Puck drop between the IceMen and Wings is scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
