Return of Freitas: After missing the last seven days while being on the temporary inactive list, Missions catcher David Freitas returned in a big way last night. Freitas recorded his seventh three-hit game of the season. He went 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBI.
Perez's Hit Streak: With a 1-for-4 performance in last night's win, Hernan Perez extended his hitting streak to 10 games. He became the third Missions player to have a 10-game hitting streak joining Mauricio Dubon (twice) and David Freitas (twice). During this streak, he is batting .421 (16-for-38) with 10 runs, four doubles, four home runs, 11 RBI, a .500 OBP, and a 1.342 OPS.
Power Surge: With home runs from Trent Grisham and David Freitas, the Missions have tied their monthly home run record of 40. They previously hit 40 home runs in April 2011. San Antonio has clubbed 149 homers on the season. The franchise record is 171, which they set in 1925.
