Hiura on Fire: Since being optioned to San Antonio on June 3, Keston Hiura has been one of the hottest hitters for the Missions. In three games, he is batting .461 (6-for-13) with a home run, three RBI, and two doubles. His batting avergae has risen to .345 during this stretch and his on-base percentage has risen to .416 during this stretch. He has also had at least two hits in all three games.

Speedy Spangenberg: Cory Spangenberg continues to show off his speed as he stole his 12th base of the season in last night's game. He currently leads the Missions in stolen bases, with second place Nate Orf six behind. As far as the Pacific Coast League, Spangenberg is tied for seventh in the league trailing New Orleans' Monte Harrison who leads the league with 19 stolen bases. The Missions as a team are now fifth in the PCL in stolen bases with 48.

Orf the Charts: With a home run in last night's game, Nate Orf now has six home runs this season. At the beginning of June, Orf is already closing in on a career high for long balls. With Triple-A Colorado Springs in 2017, Orf finished the season with nine home runs in 125 games. Through 54 games, Orf has tied his second most home run output after hitting six home runs in 2018 with Triple-A Colorado Springs. His OBP (.402), slugging percentage (.471) and OPS (.873) are all currently his second highest of his career.

Petricka Power: Missions reliever Jake Petricka has been a consistent option out of the bullpen for the Missions so far this season. After allowing four earned runs in his first two outings, Petricka has not allowed an earned run in his last 12 outings. Dating back to May 8, Petricka is 1-0 with 17 strikeouts in 15 innings. He has allowed eight hits, two walks, and one unearned run over this stretch. Opposing hitters are only hitting .157 off Petricka since May 8 and he holds a WHIP of 0.67 over this stretch.

Southpaw Success: Despite losing last night's game against southpaw Tyler Alexander, the Missions still hold an impressive 12-4 record against left-handed starting pitchers. Tonight they face left-hander Kyle Lobstein, who is making his first start of the 2019 season.
