HELLO, GOODBYE: The Bats and Mud Hens finish up a two-game series after the Bats won Monday night's opener in convincing fashion, 13-4. Louisville recorded 16 hits and 7 of the extra-base variety, including a Chadwick Tromp grand slam. Tonight, LOU will try to sweep its second consecutive series while also looking to capture its 10th series victory of the season after clinching a winning month of July.

AT TOLEDO: After winning the first game of the two-game set at Fifth Third Field, the Bats will look to sweep the two-gamer and win their fifth straight game overall. LOU has not swept back-to-back series since sweeping back-to-back three-game series from April 24-29, 2016 at Norfolk (4/24-4/26) and at Durham (4/27-4/29). LOU last swept a series (min. 2 games) at Toledo from August 9-12, 2010, sweeping a four-game series.

STRIVE FOR FIVE: Louisville extended its winning streak to 4 games with Tuesday's 13-4 victory, setting a new-season high win streak after winning 3 games in a row on 6 different occasions this season. The 4-game win streak is LOU's longest since July 31-August 3, 2018 at Toledo (7/31-8/1) and at Columbus (8/2-8/3). With a win tonight, LOU would have its first 5+ game win streak since winning 9 consecutive games from July 17-25, 2018, their longest winning streak since the 2012 season.

WINNING MONTH: With last night's win, the Bats come into Tuesday's game with a 14-11 record with 2 games left in July, thus securing their first winning calendar month of the 2019 campaign. LOU last recorded an above-.500 record in a month in July 2018, when they went 16-12.

'BAT'HOVEN'S NINTH: Louisville tied its season-high for runs scored in an inning, putting up a 6-spot in the top of the ninth in the 13-4 win over Toledo. It's the fifth time this season that LOU's scored 6 runs in an inning. Interestingly, each of the last 3 occasions (5/30 at DUR, 7/19 at SWB, 7/29 at TOL) have all occurred in the ninth inning.

CC: Infielder Christian Colon has had an excellent season in his first year in the Reds organization, ranking in the top 5 in the IL in several categories with 104 games played (1st), 112 hits (4th), 30 doubles (2nd) and 20 stolen bases (2nd). He's the first Bat with 30+ doubles in a season since Brandon Dixon (31) in 2017, and he's the first with 20+ SB since Phillip Ervin (23) in 2017. He's only the second Bat in team history with both 30+ doubles & 20+ SB in a season, joining Zack Cozart (30 doubles, 30 SB) in 2010.

ON PACE TO SET TEAM HR RECORD: In addition to Tromp's grand slam, Blake Trahan hit his fourth homer of the season, which ties a career-high for the infielder. LOU has now hit 139 home runs through 107 games, on pace for approximately 182 home runs, which would shatter the current club record of 166 homers hit by the 1999 RiverBats. Last season, LOU finished with 113 homers in 137 games.

WANNA BE STARTIN' SOMETHIN': RHP Vladimir Gutierrez threw his seventh quality start of the season, tied for most on the Bats with Keury Mella. In July, Louisville starters own a 3.51 ERA (44er/112.2ip). Going into the month, LOU's starter's ERA was 6.45 (277er/386.2ip). The fantastic showing in the month has brought the starter's ERA down to 5.74 ahead of Tuesday.
