From the Notes

ABOUT LAST NIGHT: The Tribe pushed their winning streak to six games behind another dominant performance both at the plate and on the mound. Clay Holmes fired six innings of one-run ball, scattering six hits and two walks with seven strikeouts. The offense recorded 12-plus hits for a third straight game and fourth time in their last five overall, gathering a dozen knocks against the PawSox staff. Pablo Reyes put the Indians in front for good with an RBI single in the second, and Kevin Kramer added a sac fly later in that inning to make it 2-0. Max Moroff then cranked a grand slam with nobody out in the third to push Indy's lead to six. Solo homers by Kramer in the fourth and Jacob Stallings in the seventh capped Indy's offensive output. Kramer led the Indians with three hits; all nine Tribesmen recorded at least one hit in the victory.

KEEP IT ROLLING: Indy carries a season-high six-game winning streak into tonight's game in Pawtucket. In 2017, they put together two streaks of six-plus wins in a row, their longest reaching eight games from May 16-21. Indianapolis also had a six-game winning streak from May 6-11. The Tribe are batting .322 (68-for-211) with 43 runs scored (7.2 runs per game) during their current winning streak. They've slugged 11 home runs, 15 doubles and swiped five bases, averaging 11.3 hits per contest. On the mound during the streak, Indy owns a 0.83 ERA (5 ER/54.0 IP) and 1.06 WHIP, having scattered 35 hits and 22 walks with 53 strikeouts.

STREAK CENTRAL: Eight Indians players are currently riding hitting streaks of three games or longer. Jacob Stallings leads the way with a nine-game streak and Kevin Newman is on a six-gamer. Christopher Bostick, Jordan Luplow and Jose Osuna all have five-game streaks, Kevin Kramer has hit safely in four straight and both Max Moroff and Erich Weiss are on three-game hitting streaks.

MAX SLAM: Max Moroff launched a grand slam in the third inning of last night's 8-1 victory, the first of his career and first by a Tribe player in 2018. The Indians hit just one grand slam in 2017, as well. Danny Ortiz recorded that blast on July 23 at Gwinnett. Moroff finished last night's contest with four RBI, tying a career high. His most recent four-RBI game occurred on April 18, 2015 with Double-A Altoona against Akron.

KRAMER RAKING: During Indy's six-game winning streak, Kevin Kramer has hit .348 (8-for-23) with three home runs, one double, nine RBI and five runs scored. He is one of two players in the IL with three homers since June 2 (also: Durham's Brandon Snyder), and his nine RBI since that date pace the league. Kramer also finds himself among the IL's home runs leaders for the season; he's tied for sixth in long balls with eight.

NINE FOR STALLINGS: Jacob Stallings extended his season-high hit streak to nine games thanks to a leadoff homer in the seventh inning off Tyler Thornburg last night, his first of the season. Just last season, he notched the two longest hit streaks of his career -- an 11-game stretch from July 26-Aug. 21 and 10-gamer from Aug. 24-Sept. 4. During his current nine-game streak, Stallings has racked up 13 hits in 35 at-bats (.371 average), including one homer, three doubles and four RBI.

BOMBS AWAY: The Indians clubbed three home runs in last night's win, tying their season high accomplished three other times (6/3 vs. SWB, 5/10 @ LOU, 4/27 @ COL). The Tribe have hit 27 home runs in 29 road games. By comparison, they've hit just 11 long balls in 29 home games this season. Since 2005, the Indians have hit more home runs on the road than at home in nine of 13 seasons. The 2018 season has featured more of the same from Indy.

LEADOFF MAN: After recording a team-best 39 hits en route to a .361 average in May, Kevin Newman opened the month of June with the same firepower. In five games this month, he's knocked seven hits and contributed two multi-hit games. He's also stolen three bases so far in June, upping his season total to 13, second in the IL behind Durham's Andrew Velazquez (14). Newman's average through five games in June is .368 (7-for-19) with two doubles, three walks and two strikeouts. His 39 hits since May 8 are tied with teammate Christopher Bostick for most in the International League, and his ratio of plate appearances to strikeouts sits at 9.25, third best in the IL.

JOSE, JOSE, JOSE, JOSE: Since his return from Pittsburgh on May 29, Jose Osuna has hit safely in five straight games and seven of nine overall. He has hit .263 (10-for-38) since rejoining the club. Over his previous five games, he's 9-for-22 (.409) with four RBI. His average on the year sits at .328 (38-for-116) with 14 doubles and 23 RBI. He's struck out just 19 times in 32 games with the Indians and leads the team in slugging (.526) and OPS (.906).

DRY JUNE: Indianapolis has kept its opponents at bay in the month of June. The Indians lead the league this month with a 1.29 ERA (9 ER/63.0 IP) and opponents are batting just .198 (44-for-222). Through the first seven games of the month, the Indians have recorded three shutouts and surrendered a total of 10 runs (1.4 runs per game).

BY THE NUMBERS - 19.1: The Tribe bullpen has not surrendered a run since the eighth inning on June 1 vs. Scranton/W-B, a game the Indians lost 4-0. Indians relievers have combined to throw 19.1 consecutive scoreless innings since that date.
