LAST GAME

The SeaWolves dropped their fourth straight game to the Richmond Flying Squirrels by a 14-4 final on Saturday night at The Diamond. Erie opened the scoring with an RBI single from Drew Ward in the first inning, but a five-run home half gave Richmond the lead. Richmond knocked two home runs in the first against Jesus Rodriguez, and scored again in the second inning to knock Rodriguez from the game after just the two frames. Eric De La Rosa collected his first Double-A home run in the second inning with a solo shot to center field. The Squirrels added to their lead in the fifth inning against Chance Kirby with a trio of runs, two more in the seventh inning against Cale Coshow, and three more in the eighth inning against Ruben Garcia. Drew Ward didn't let Erie go quietly, knocking his ninth home run of the year, a two-run shot in the seventh inning. The 10-run loss was the largest defeat for Erie this season.
