Senators Break Through in 10-Inning Pitchers' Duel

The Senators rallied for a run in the ninth and scored a run in the tenth to beat Akron 2-1 Sunday afternoon at Canal Park. Cole Freeman homered leading off the ninth inning to tie the game for the Senators. Brady Lindsly drove in the go ahead run in the tenth and Bryan Dobzanski made the lead stand up by retiring Akron 1-2-3 in the bottom of the 10th.

ON CAPITAL HILL

Cade Cavalli started and pitched five strong innings. He struck out four and walked two and allowed just one hit. Cade threw 80 pitches, 48 for strikes. Ryan Tapani and Reid Schaller both pitched scoreless innings. Andrew Lee went two frames and earned the win, allowing an unearned run in the eighth but pitching a scoreless ninth. Bryan Dobzanski took over in the tenth with the free runner at second and threw three pitches to retire Akron. Two groundballs and a bunt attempt that Dobzanski handled himself.

WITH THE GAVEL

Cole Freeman homered to tie the game in the ninth. Aldrem Corredor had two hits. Brady Lindsly drove in the go ahead run in the tenth with a single to right.

FILIBUSTERS

The Senators turned three double plays Sunday including one in the bottom of the ninth. They went 2-for-11 with runners in scoring position. With the win Sunday, the split the six-game series with Akron.

ON DECK

The Senators and Hartford Yard Goats play game one of their six-game series Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at FNB Field. The game can be heard on CBS Sports Radio Harrisburg 96.5FM 95.3FM and 1400AM beginning at 6:10 p.m.
