Allen Americans News Release
Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans (7-3-0) and Wichita Thunder (4-6-0) are meeting for the first time this season tonight in Allen. The two clubs will play a total of 13 times during the regular season. Following tonight's contest in Allen, the next five meetings between the two clubs will be played in Wichita.
Six Pack - Allen Americans forward Chad Costello extended his point streak to six games with two assists in Saturday night's 7-2 victory over Rapid City. Costello's six-game streak is the longest on the Americans roster this season.
Double Trouble - Jonathan Parker and Casey Pierro-Zabotel each had two goals in their last outing. Parker had five points on the three game road trip, while Pierro-Zabotel had three points.
Rump-alicious - Americans Rookie Goalie Joel Rumpel has won his last six starts in a row, while leading the ECHL in victories with seven (7-2-0). He gave up just three goals in two starts in Rapid City.
Arch Rivals - The Americans and Thunder have had some terrific battles in the seven seasons of Allen hockey. The most memorable coming in the 2013 CHL Presidents Cup Finals, when Allen defeated Wichita in Game 7 in overtime to claim their first professional championship.
Season Highs - The Americans scored a season-high seven goals in their win over Rapid City on Saturday night, while totaling a season-high 49 shots.
