Quad City Mallards News Release

MOLINE, Ill. (November 10, 2015) - The Quad City Mallards host their annual Military Appreciation Night tomorrow evening when the Mallards meet the Alaska Aces at 6:35 p.m. at the iWireless Center and Sunday will encourage fans to join the R.I.A. Federal Credit Union Teddy Bear Toss when the Mallards take on the Fort Wayne Komets at 4:05 p.m.

On Veterans Day, the Mallards will pay tribute to those who have served in the armed forces by wearing special edition VFW jerseys during their game against the Aces. After tomorrow evening, the Mallards will continue to don their VFW sweaters during warm-ups prior to home games until auctioning off those jerseys to benefit VFW Post 1303 in Rock Island at their March 25 game against the Evansville IceMen.

Former United States Army captain William Albracht of Rock Island will be the guest of honor at tomorrow night's game.

All current and former military personnel and their families can purchase tickets to tomorrow's game just $5.

The Mallards will team with R.I.A. Federal Credit Union for Sunday's Teddy Bear Toss. Fans are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped stuffed animal and throw it on to the ice after the Mallards' first goal Sunday. Teddy bears will be donated to area children in need just in time for the holidays.

After Sunday's game- and following all Mallards Sunday home games this season- fans can join the Mallards on the ice and skate with the team courtesy of B100.
