STREAK CONTINUES - David Makowski now has scored at least a goal in five straight games for the Americans. Makowski is third overall in defenseman points in the league with 35.
RILEY RETURNS - Americans goalie Riley Gill returned to the Allen lineup on Wednesday night, in relief of Jamie Murray. Gill earned his sixth straight victory, which ties a season-high.
POWER PLAY SPECIALIST - Americans forward Spencer Asuchak scored his 11th power play goal of the season on Wednesday night. Asuchak leads the league in that category. He is now one of three players on the Allen roster with 20 goals or more (Asuchak, 20, Costello, 25, Hanson, 24).
FOUND THE CURE - Americans Defenseman Randy Cure scored his first goal of the season on Wednesday night, and his first as a member of the Allen Americans. His third period goal tied the score, setting up and overtime winner for Eric Roy.
DO YOU KNOW THE WAY TO SAN JOSE? - Americans Defenseman Harrison Ruopp was loaned to the Americans AHL affiliate the San Jose Barracuda on Friday. Ruopp has six points and 58 penalty minutes in 30 games for Allen this season
SHARK TANK - The San Jose Sharks have dropped two straight on their current road trip, with losses in Buffalo and Boston on consecutive nights. Former Americans goalie Aaron Dell was in net last night for the Sharks, giving up two goals in the first period before getting pulled. San Jose went on to lose 6-3
