Back to Back
The Hawks are set to wrap up a four-game week with a second back-to-back in six days tonight. The road has not been kind to Portland this month, but tonight presents an opportunity to get back in the win column with a statement victory before heading back to Portland for the first time in almost two weeks. The grind is real, but the Winterhawks know the importance of keeping perspective.
"I think the most important thing for us is to stay up and keep everything positive. It's important to play our game and get back to what we want to do, produce how we want and stick with it," said defenseman Josh Mori.
Battle with Seattle
Tonight's duel features a familiar opponent who is about to become even more familiar. The Winterhawks and Thunderbirds are slated to face off five times in Portland's last 12 games starting tonight. The Hawks lead the season series with four wins to Seattle's three, but the Birds took the most recent meeting two weeks ago. Despite the Hawks' recent skid, this rivalry matchup always brings out the best in both clubs - grab the popcorn for what should be another classic.
