TONIGHT'S OFFICIALS - The referee tonight is Michael McCreary (7). The linesmen are Russ Coll (39) and Terry Saunders (82).
HEAD TO HEAD - This is the seventh of 12 meetings between the Thunder and the Mallards. Wichita is 8-0-4 on the road against Quad City all-time and 17-4-4 overall.
REUNION - Wichita won this past Wednesday night in Quad City by the final of 4-2. The two teams play the second of four meetings tonight that will take place over the next two weeks. After tonight, Wichita travels to Missouri tomorrow night for a meeting with the Mavericks in Independence. Next week, the Thunder heads back to Moline to play two games against the Mallards on Friday and Saturday.
HUMAN TORCH - Todd Hosmer continues to be red hot, scoring his 15th goal of the season on Wednesday night. He has goals in six-straight games and is tied for second on the team in that category. Seven of his 15 tallies have come in the January, giving him 10 points for the month.
LIGHTNING STRIKE - Danick Gauthier tipped in a point shot from Eric Meland for his 17th goal of the season. The Tampa Bay Lightning product went five games without registering a goal and now has markers in back-to-back games. He is tied for 16th in goals in the league and second on the team in points with 37.
FIVE AND FOUR - Danick Gauthier leads the Thunder with five points (2g, 3a) against Quad City. Seven players are tied in second with four points against the Mallards. Ian Duval, RG Flath, Nikita Kashirsky and Ian Lowe all have two goals and two assists in six games against the Flock. Joe Perry leads the Mallards with four goals against Wichita.
GETTING THE HOOK - Evan Mosher began the game on Wednesday night only to be lifted in the third period for Parker Milner. It was the third straight-game the Thunder have forced the starter to the bench, scoring three goals in the second period and led 4-0 heading into the third. Wichita is 5-2-1-1 when the opponent uses multiple goaltenders.
SPECIAL - Wichita and Quad City sit next to each other when it comes to power play rankings and that has been the case in the season-series as well. The Thunder have gone 5-for-30 (16.7%) against the Mallards this season. The Quad City power play has gone 5-for-34 (14.7%). Wichita scored its first power play goal at the i-Wireless Center on Wedesnday. The Thunder power play has connected in the last four games, going 4-for-19 over that span (21.1%).
NET MINDING - Tim Boron moved into a tie for 10th place with his 14th win of the season on Wednesday night. He made 38 of 40 saves, winning his second-straight start. Overall, he is 14-6-2-2 with a goals against average of 2.81 and a save percentage of .896. Against Quad City, he is 2-0-1-0 with a goals against average of 2.64 and a save percentage of .921. Parker Milner is 2-0-0-0 against the Thunder with a goals against average of 1.71 and a save percentage of .945.

Danick Gauthier is tied for 17th in goals (17), tied for sixth in power play goals (6) and tied for 11th in power play assists (9)...Jared Walker is tied for fourth in shorthanded goals (2)...Todd Hosmer is 15th in rookie scoring (24) while Ian Duval is tied in 37th (20)...Kenton Miller is in 10th place for shots on net (134)...Tyler Bunz and Tim Boron are tied for fifth in shutouts (2)...Wichita is 13th in shots for per game (30.85) and fourth in shots against per game (27.29)...Wichita is 6-2-0-1 when leading after one...Wichita is 11-6-0-0 when tied after one...Wichita is 6-3-1-1 when tied after two periods...Wichita is 13-9-1-2 when outshooting the opponent...
QUAD CITY NOTES - Todd Fiddler and Mario Lamoureux each have six points against the Thunder...Lamoureux was sent back to the Mallards from Bridgeport, playing in two games and scored his first career AHL goal last Wednesday...Quad City played once last week, losing to Missouri last Saturday night by the final of 2-1...Quad City is tied for sixth in the ECHL in goals against per game (2.79)...Joe Perry has 16 even strength goals and four on the power play...Justin Fox has 13 points (3g, 10a) in his last 14 games...
