LAST WEEK'S RECORD: 0-3-0 OVERALL RECORD: 11-27-5, 27 pts.

Jan. 27 @ Bakersfield, 6-0 Loss – The Condors scored on their first two shots on goal and the Falcons never recovered, getting shutout for the second time this season.

Jan. 30 vs. Bakersfield, 4-2 Loss – Attempting to avenge their shutout loss from three nights earlier, Fresno yet again allowed Bakersfield to score on their first shot on goal. The Falcons stayed in the game, though, trailing 2-1 throughout most of the final two periods on the strength of a short-handed goal from John Wroblewski. The Condors sealed their sixth straight victory versus Fresno when they netted an insurance marker on the power play in the game's final three minutes on their way to the win.

Jan. 31 @ Las Vegas, 9-1 Loss – Although they out-shot the Las Vegas Wranglers, 23-22, through two periods, Drew Schoneck's power play goal in the first period wasn't nearly enough as the Falcons trailed, 5-1. Las Vegas went for the jugular in third, peppering goaltender Terry Friesen with 22 shots and adding four more unanswered tallies.

THIS WEEK'S UPCOMING GAMES

Tuesday, Feb. 3 @ Bakersfield, 7 p.m. – The Falcons attempt to defeat the Condors for the first time since both teams' season opener.

Wednesday, Feb. 4 vs. Trenton, 7 p.m. – The Trenton Titans become the fourth non-Pacific Division team to visit Save Mart Center this season. Join the Falcons players at On the Rocks for an after-party following the game.

Friday, Feb. 6 vs. Trenton, 7 p.m. – The Titans and Falcons play the back half of a two-game set at Save Mart Center. Join the Falcons players at Tony Roma's at Shaw and Cedar for an after-party following the game.

Saturday, Feb. 7 vs. Bakersfield, 7:30 p.m. (please note the start time) – The Condors are back in Fresno with the Raiderette cheerleaders entertaining fans throughout the evening. The Falcons have opened up the balcony level at Save Mart Center with seats for the game beginning as low as $10. Join the Falcons players at Tony Roma's at Shaw and Cedar for an after-party following the game.

NOTES

· Wroblewski's short-handed goal on Friday was his team-leading second of the year. Fresno has scored six times when a man down this season.

· With a goal on Friday and an assist on Saturday, Michael Kiesman established a new career high with 19 points this season (9g-10a).

· The Falcons are winless over their last seven in a row overall and 14 straight on the road. Their last victory was a 4-2 decision against the San Diego Gulls on Jan. 16. Their last triumph on the road dates back to Nov. 11 when they defeated the Texas Wildcatters, 6-4.

· Fresno is 19th (16.3%) on the power play this season and 24th (81.1%) on the penalty kill.

· The Falcons begin the week in last place in the Pacific Division, four points behind the sixth-place Long Beach Ice Dogs and seven points behind the fifth-place Bakersfield Condors. They are currently 24 points out of the division's fourth and final playoff position.
