Idaho Steelheads News Release
BOISE, Idaho - The Idaho Steelheads wrapped up their four-game road tour and start the week in second place behind the San Diego Gulls. Idaho added a point to its record after losing to the Gulls in a shootout this past Friday (L3-2 SO), then added two more points Saturday night with a shootout victory over the Long Beach Ice Dogs (W3-2 SO). The win on Saturday broke a four-game losing streak.
Idaho enters into February embarking on what could be a very telling month for the team in its tight race for the Pacific Division's top spot. The monthly lineup includes three games against San Diego who is unbeaten in its last nine games, and an East Coast road swing against four Northern Division foes, before returning home to host the Alaska Aces for three.
The Gulls, 5-0 against the Steelheads this year, will make their first visit to the Bank of America Centre on Wednesday, February 4th to kick off a three-game series.
RECORD
Idaho is 26-13-5, 57 points (home record 15-4-2, and road record 11-9-3). Idaho is 5-2-3 in its last 10 games; and its current streak is 1-0-0.
