Blood Drive Night Tuesday; Record 2,860 Coats Collected

Tuesday, February 3rd - The Condors host the Fresno Falcons for KUZZ 107.9 Blood Drive Night. Fans who have donated a pint of blood to the Houchin Blood Bank during the Blood Drive receive $1.00 terrace admission. The Blood Drive started on January 10th and runs through Tuesday, February 3rd. You can stop by any of the Houchin Blood Banks to make your donation. 2600 G Street, 5901 Truxtun, or keep your eyes peeled for the Houchin Blood mobile traveling throughout Kern County. Doors open at 6:00pm and the puck drops at 7:00pm.

Thursday, February 5th - Bakersfield Condors Jonas Lennartsson and Jason Jackman will be attending McKinley School's Classroom Champions assembly beginning at 1:00 pm. The Condors Classroom Champions program awards students for outstanding attendance. Condors Classroom Champions is sponsored by 29 Eyewitness News and McDonald's. McKinley School is located at 601 4th Street in Bakersfield.

Sunday, February 8th - The Trenton Titans come into town as Groove 99.3 hosts Poster Giveaway. Everyone in attendance will receive a special Condors Boogie Poster featuring your favorite Condors in some groovy get ups as well as performing some hip moves on roller-skates. The Fire & Ice Dance team will be making their debut in Centennial Garden Sunday. The dance team, from San Diego, will bring their moves to the ice and be available for autographs as well. The night also includes a Condors Classroom Champions Night. Condors Classroom Champions program awards students who achieve outstanding attendance levels by receiving a complimentary ticket to tonight's game. Condors Classroom Champions program in sponsored by 29 Eyewitness News and McDonald's. Doors open at 4:00pm puck drops at 5:00pm

Tickets to all Condors home games can be purchased at the Centennial Garden box office, open from 10:00am - 6:00pm Monday - Friday, 10:00am - 4:00pm on Saturdays, and opens at Noon on Sunday. Tickets may also be purchased by phone through Ticketmaster at 322-2525, online at www.ticketmaster.com, or at any Ticketmaster location.

Week in Review

Tuesday, January 27th - The Condors hosted the Fresno Falcons as KGET-TV 17, KRAB Radio & The Gas Company presented Project Warm Families Coat Drive. Fans received a free terrace admission with the donation of a new or slightly used coat. The coats were donated to needy families across the community by the United Way of Kern County. Thanks to the efforts of Condors fans, a record 2,860 coats were collected during the 2004 Coat Drive.

Mark your calendars for Tuesday, February 10th, which is Help for the Homeless Night sponsored by KGEO AM1230 and Bakersfield Grocery Outlet. Receive terrace admission for just $1.00 with the donation of two non-perishable food items. All food items will be donated to the Kern Co. Food Bank. Bring your donations that night, or drop them off in advance at the Grocery Outlet located at 3917 Buck Owens Boulevard or at the Condors Closet Retail Outlet located at 1022 Truxtun Avenue, across from Centennial Garden. The Condors Closet is open Monday - Friday 11:00am - 6:00pm, on Saturdays, 11:00am - 5:00pm, and until game time on game nights.
