LAST WEEK'S RECORD: 1-2-0 OVERALL RECORD: 7-7-1, 15 pts.

Nov. 19 @ San Diego, 4-3 Loss – The Falcons battled back from a 2-0 deficit to take a 3-2 lead when Brad Mehalko scored a short-handed goal mid-way through the second period, only to see the Gulls respond with two unanswered of their own as Fresno lost, 4-3, at San Diego in a re-match of last year's Taylor Cup Finals.

Nov. 21 vs. Long Beach, 2-1 Win – Fresno captured its first victory at Save Mart Center, 2-1, against the Long Beach Ice Dogs behind two goals from Jason Weaver and 35 saves from Nolan Schaefer.

Nov. 22 @ Bakersfield, 3-1 Loss – It took until game #15 on the year, but the Falcons finally out-shot an opponent when they out-gunned the Bakersfield Condors, 35-28. Fresno gave-up three power play goals, though, and ran into a hot goaltender in Peter Hirsch as they lost to Bakersfield, 3-1.

Sunday, Nov. 30 vs. Alaska, 5 p.m. – It's Family Day with the Falcons at Save Mart Center with four Silver Section seats costing just $24, ½ off the regular ticket price. The first 1,000 kids in attendance will receive a Falcons Youth Jersey courtesy of The Fresno Bee, ABC 30 and Soft Rock 98.9.

NOTES

· Captain Jason Weaver scored three goals last week to tie Kris Porter for the team lead with eight on the season.

· Saturday's 35 shots on goal were a team season-high. The club is ranked 30th in shots per game (24.9) but a more than respectable 13th in offense by scoring 3.07 goals per game.

· This week's games in Idaho finally conclude a stretch of 16 of 18 on the road to begin the season. Starting with Sunday's tilt versus Alaska, Fresno will play seven of eight at home.

· The team begins the week ranked 11th (18.3%) league-wide on the power play and 24th (79.8%) on the penalty kill.

· The Falcons reside in 5th place in the Pacific Division, one point behind fourth-place Bakersfield and six points behind the first-place Las Vegas Wranglers.

THIS WEEK'S PRACTICE TIMES

The Falcons will not practice in Fresno this week. They are in Idaho until Saturday and will not skate on Sunday prior to that evening's game against Alaska.
