South Carolina Stingrays News Release
NORTH CHARLESTON, SC South Carolina Stingrays community relations manager Kelly Hillman announced today that the Stingrays will hold a "Make Some Noise" Food Drive at the Stingrays home game against the Florida Everblades on Wednesday, November 26. The food drive will benefit the Lowcountry Food Bank.
The "Make Some Noise" food drive invites fans to bring food items that can help to make noise as the Rays host the first place Everblades.
"We are encouraging our fans to bring items like Macaroni, Rice, Cereal, even jugs with change to be donated following the game to a great cause," noted Hillman.
The Rays have had food drives in the past around the Holiday season, but never a "Make Some Noise" food drive.
The Lowcountry Food Bank oversees a program called "Kid's Café", which provides hot nutritious meals and academic assistance to more than 1,000 needy children at twelve sites throughout ten counties.
All the food collected will be delivered by the South Carolina Stingrays coaches and players later in the week.
The Stingrays play host to the Florida Everblades on Wednesday, November 26 and the Roanoke Express on Saturday, November 29.
