
Fourth of July Extravaganza at Appalachian Power Park

(Charleston, WV) -¬ This Wednesday, July 4 the West Virginia Power will host a Fourth of July Extravaganza presented by Fifth Third Bank, Highland Hospital, The City of Charleston, and West Virginia Radio. The celebration will include baseball, live music and the biggest and only Fourth of July fireworks show in Charleston.
The day's events will begin at 4:05 pm as the Power take on the Asheville Tourists. The game features a Workin' Women's Wednesday presented by V100 with Baseball Bingo and a chance to win a Longaberger Basket and many other great prizes. The concert will take place approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the game. The concert features pre-teen rock group Rip Chord and rock comedy troupe The Legends Rock. Immediately following the concert (approximately 10:00pm) the Power will light up the sky with their biggest fireworks show of the year.
Gates for the game open at 3:00 pm. Box seat and General Admission tickets can be purchased in advance for $7.00 and $5.00 respectively. On gameday, Box seat and General Admission tickets are $6.00 and $8.00 respectively at the ticket windows. On the Fourth of July, at the completion of the 7th inning of play the gates will open to the general public free of charge for everyone to enjoy the live music and fireworks extravaganza.
