Catfish Gain RHP Will Kline, Tampa Bay's Second Pick

Columbus, GA - The Columbus Catfish pitching staff has gained yet another early drafted arm with the addition of 22-year-old RHP Will Kline. The Tampa Bay Devil Rays selected Kline in the second round with the 65th overall pick of the 2007 first-year player draft.

Kline, a 6-3, 218-pound junior, went 7-3 with a 3.75 ERA over 124 2/3 innings in 18 starts for the University of Mississippi this season. He allowed 112 hits and 45 walks while tallying 134 strikeouts.

Additionally, OF Maiko Loyola has been transferred to the Hudson Valley Renegades (A). Loyola batted .240 in 167 at-bats in 56 games with the Catfish. He posted an on-base percentage of .377 with 16 steals and 30 runs scored.
