Four Game Road Trip Opens Wednesday In Albany

The HERSHEY BEARS Hockey Club looks to gain ground in the East Division heading into the holidays, with four divisional road games on tap. HERSHEY kicks off a four game road trip in Albany Wednesday night before traveling to Charlotte for a pair of games this weekend. The trip concludes with a game in Adirondack on Friday, December 17.

Holtby on a tear: Goaltender Braden Holtby has returned from Washington, and turned in two shutouts in his first three starts. After blanking Adirondack 4-0 at Giant Center in his HERSHEY return on November 27, Holtby made 26 saves in whitewashing the Binghamton Senators 4-0 on Saturday night. On the season, Holtby is

Short-handed specialist: Center Jay Beagle collected his second short-handed goal of the season Saturday against the Binghamton Senators. Beagle has two of HERSHEY'S three short-handed snipes this season.

Leading the way: Right wing Andrew Gordon is tied for the American Hockey League lead with 15 goals, and tied for the league lead in points with 30 as the new week begins. Two division rivals are in lockstep with Gordon on the leader board, with Binghamton's Bobby Butler also with 15 goals, and Wilkes- Barre/Scranton's Dustin Jeffrey also with 30 points.

Practice schedule: HERSHEY will skate Monday and Tuesday at Giant Center at 10:00 a.m. prior to departing on the team's four-game road trip. There will be no local media availability after Tuesday morning until the team returns home for practice on Tuesday, December 14. Media availability will be at approximately 11:15 a.m. on Monday, and approximately 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday.

Hitting the road: HERSHEY has five road games remaining in the month of December. Along with the games in Albany, Charlotte and Adirondack on the current four-game trek, the BEARS will play in Pittsburgh against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Thursday, December 30.

Upcoming promotions: Saturday, December 19 is Pennsylvania Lottery Night when the BEARS take on the Providence Bruins. The first 4,000 fans will receive a free instant game coupon, courtesy of the Pennsylvania Lottery.
