Four Frostbite Players Named UHL All-Stars

GLENS FALLS, NY - The United Hockey League today announced the rosters for the 2006 UHL All-Star Classic to be held on Wednesday, January 25th at Family Arena in St. Charles, Missouri. The Adirondack Frostbite will be represented by four players at the event: left-wing Hugo Belanger, right-wing Kevin Watters, and defensemen Scott Drevitch and Bob Rapoza.

Belanger leads the Frostbite in scoring, and is third overall in the UHL, this season with 53 points (16g, 37a) in 35 games. He has surpassed the 100-point plateau in eight consecutive seasons and nine times overall in his career. Belanger has also captured United Hockey League MVP honors in four of the last five seasons.

Watters leads the Frostbite this season with 21 goals, and is tied for second on the team with 39 points. He is second among all UHL rookies in both categories. The rookie from SUNY-Cortland made his American Hockey League debut on Sunday with the Binghamton Senators, going scoreless and registering two shots in a 4-3 loss at Providence.

This marks the ninth consecutive season in which Drevitch has been selected to play in an All-Star Game. He ranks fifth on the Frostbite, and is tied for fourth among UHL defensemen, with 28 points this season.

Rapoza leads the Frostbite in plus/minus rating at +17. He has tallied 10 points (2g, 8a) in 29 games this season.

The starting lineups for the 2006 UHL All-Star Classic will be selected by the fans. Information about voting can be found at the official website of the UHL, www.theuhl.com. Fans will be able to vote for the starting lineups from Wednesday, January 11th through Monday, January 16th.
