Pair of Mallards Headed to UHL All-Star Classic

Moline, IL- The United Hockey League announced today that Mallards goaltender Jason Tapp and forward Chad Woollard have been selected to participate in the 2006 United Hockey League All-Star Classic. The game is scheduled for Wednesday, January 25th at The Family Arena in St. Charles, Missouri.

Tapp will be making his second straight trip to the UHL All-Star festivities. During the 2005-06 season, he ranks second in the league in goals against average (2.31) and third in save percentage (.921) while playing a league high 1,851 minutes.

Woollard joined the Mallards this summer after appearing in three straight Central Hockey League All-Star games. In his first season as a Mallard, Woollard leads the team in goals (20) and points (32). He ranks second in the league in power-play goals (12) and third in shots on goal (151).

The Mallards continue their home stand on Saturday night vs. Missouri. Game time is 7:00 p.m. It's Quad City Airport Beach Night featuring a swimsuit contest and a calendar giveaway courtesy of Wiebler's Harley Davidson.
