
Four Trashers named to play in UHL All-Star Classic

DANBURY, CT-The Danbury Trashers, proud members of the United Hockey League (UHL) will have four players represented at the upcoming UHL All-Star Classic, to be held on January 25th at the St. Charles (MO) Family Arena, home of the Missouri River Otters.
Goaltender Sylvain Daigle, defenseman Donny Grover, along with forwards David Hymovitz and Alex Goupil were selected to play for the Group "A" All-Stars.
Daigle was selected for the All-Star Classic on the basis of his 14-6-3 record, 2.83 goals against average and .904 save percentage. The Richmond, PQ native is in his first season with Danbury after spending the past five seasons with Muskegon, winning three Colonial Cup titles.
Hymovitz will be making his second straight trip to the All-Star Classic. The Boston, MA native currently leads the Trashers in scoring with 39 points on 19 goals and a team-best +19 in 36 games.
Danbury rookies Donny Grover and Alex Goupil will each be making their first trip to the All-Star Classic. Grover, 22, currently called up to Lowell of the American Hockey League (AHL), has 12 points on two goals in 29 games with a +18 rating. He is in his first full season as a professional after finishing his collegiate career with Northeastern University in 2004-05, followed by a brief stint with Quad City (UHL).
Goupil, 22, is in his second season with the Trashers despite maintaining his UHL rookie status. This season he has 29 points on 13 goals and a +15 rating in 36 games. Last season the Ottawa, Ontario native scored 39 points on 25 goals in 60 games.
The Danbury Trashers are home on Friday and Saturday nights against the Flint Generals and the Port Huron Flags at 7:30pm at the Danbury Ice Arena. Ticket prices start at just $14.00.
