Vipers send trio to All-Star Game in Missouri

ROANOKE, VA - The Roanoke Valley Vipers, member of the United Hockey League (UHL), proudly announced today that three Vipers players, left wing David Beauregard, right wing L.P. Martin, and defenseman Alex Jerofejevs, have been named to the 2005-06 UHL All-Star Team.

Beauregard, the team's captain, has 40 points (21G, 19A) in 31 games this season. Martin, a 21-year-old rookie who the Vipers signed on October 22nd, has 15 goals and 21 assists in 30 games in a Roanoke Valley uniform this season, and is second in the league among all active rookies in points (36) and assists. Jerofejevs, who won Sher-Wood UHL Player of the Week Honors for the week ending November 13, 2005, leads all Vipers defenders with 21 points (6G, 15A) over 31 games. The rookie D-man is seventh among all UHL defenders in points so far this season.

The 2005-06 UHL All-Star starters will be selected by the fans - be sure to log onto the UHL website at www.theuhl.com beginning Wednesday, January 11th to vote for David, L.P., and Alex! The voting ends Monday, January 16th, so don't wait, vote early!

The annual UHL All-Star Classic is being hosted by the Missouri River Otters and will be played on Wednesday, January 25th, 2006 at the Family Arena in St. Charles, Missouri. The official All-Star rosters are comprised of 20 players (18 skaters and 2 goaltenders) with each UHL Member Club represented by a minimum of two players.
