ROANOKE, VA - The Roanoke Valley Vipers, proud member of the United Hockey League (UHL), announced today that former captain and leading scorer David Beauregard was named to the 2005-2006 UHL All-Star Second Team. The league announced the All-Star First and Second Teams on Tuesday afternoon, as selected by United Hockey League head coaches and general managers, as well as members of the media.
Beauregard, who began the season in a Vipers uniform, scored 76 points (33G, 43A) in 56 games with Roanoke, and finished the season off with the Danbury Trashers after being traded on March 13. The winger ended the season with 93 total regular season points (41G, 52A) in 70 games between the two teams. Beauregard was one of three players to represent the Vipers as a starter in the 2006 UHL All-Star Game in St. Charles, Missouri, and was ultimately named Team Aquafina's MVP.
