
Forward Samuel Blais Lands First Career Hat Trick as San Antonio Blanks Ontario 4-0

ONTARIO, Calif. - Forward Samuel Blais recorded his first career hat trick to propel the San Antonio Rampage (29-24-9-0) to a 4-0 victory over the Ontario Reign (29-20-4-2) on Sunday at Citizens Business Bank Arena. Netminder Ville Husso turned away all 21 of Ontario's shots, earning the Second Star of the Game, while forward Vladislav Kamenev recorded a three-point outing with assists on each of Blais' goals.
After a scoreless opening period, Felix Girard got the Rampage on the board first at 1:42 of the middle frame after the forward collected is own rebound and found the back of the net for the 11th time this season. San Antonio capitalized on a power-play opportunity 10 minutes later when Blais redirected Kamenev's shot past netminder Cal Petersen at the 14:28 mark.
Blais tallied his second of the night mid-way through the final frame after he finished a backdoor pass from Kamenev at the 9:43 mark. Blais completed the hat trick at 16:04 when he collected a rebound in front of the Reign cage and fired the puck into the net for his second power-play goal of the game, securing a 4-0 victory for the Silver and Black.
