Iowa Wild Signs Forward Gerry Fitzgerald to ATO

DES MOINES, IOWA - Iowa Wild General Manager Brent Flahr announced today the American Hockey League (AHL) club has signed Bemidji State forward Gerry Fitzgerald to an Amateur Tryout Agreement (ATO).

Fitzgerald, 24 (8/26/1994), turns pro after completing four seasons at Bemidji State. In four seasons with the Beavers, Fitzgerald recorded 95 points (41g, 44a) in 139 career games. The 5-foot-8, 174-pound native of Port Alberni, British Columbia served as an alternate captain during his senior season.

Prior to playing at Bemidji State, Fitzgerald spent five seasons in the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL). He set career-highs with Victoria Grizzlies in 2013-14, amassing 81 points (35g, 46a) in 51 games. During his five seasons in the BCHL, Fitzgerald registered 188 points (83g, 105a) in 211 games.

Iowa welcomes Manitoba Moose Sunday to Wells Fargo Arena for the final meeting of the season between the two teams. Puck drop is at 3:00 p.m.
