
Forward Alden Hirschfeld Recalled to Providence

North Charleston, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays, celebrating 20 seasons of hockey in the Lowcountry and proud ECHL affiliate of the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League (NHL), announced today that forward Alden Hirschfeld has been recalled to the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Hirschfeld, 25, appeared in 21 games with the Bruins (AHL) scoring two goals and three assists for five points. In 18 contests with the Stingrays, the Sylvania, Ohio, native registered eight points (four goals, four assists). Currently in his first professional season, Hirschfeld attended Miami University (Ohio) for four seasons, totaling 70 points (35 goals, 35 assists) in 134 games and helped the RedHawks capture a CCHA Championship in 2010-11.
The Stingrays return to the North Charleston Coliseum on Friday, February 22 for the Dog Days of Winter against the Greenville Road Warriors at 7:05 p.m. Bring your dog to the game! Have a dachshund?
