Guimond Returned from AHL Norfolk

Rookie defenseman Sacha Guimond has be re-assigned to the Gwinnett Gladiators from the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League.

In his last appearance in the AHL, Guimond skated in three games with Norfolk, but did not register a point. The rookie has skated in six AHL games this season, four with the Admirals and two with the Worcester Sharks.

The Ville-Maire, PQ native has registered 10 points (one goal, nine assists) in 10 games with the Gladiators. Guimond is ranked second among ECHL defensemen with 35 points (eight goal, 27 assists) on the season.

Guimond was acquired by the Gladiators from the San Francisco Bulls in a trade along with Justin Bowers in exchange for Cody Carlson, Christian Ouellet and Rylan Galiardi.

He should be available for the Gladiators for Thurday's 7 p.m. tilt in Orlando against the Solar Bears.

The Gladiators are the ECHL Affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League and are members of the ECHL, the Premier "AA" Hockey League and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
