
Former Beloit Batboy Returns Home to Face Snappers

Beloit's own Kyle Murphy, now a member of the Clinton LumberKings, will be returning to Pohlman Field Tuesday, July 1st through Friday, July 4th. He and the LumberKings will be taking on the Snappers for a four-game series with each game starting at 7:00pm.
Originally from Beloit, Murphy is also a former batboy for the Snappers. Kyle graduated from Beloit Turner in 2003 where he hit .483 with five homers, 24 RBIs and 14 stolen bases as a senior. Murphy was also named first team All-State in '03.
So far this season, Murphy is hitting .316 with six hits and two runs scored in five games for the LumberKings. Kyle was selected by the Texas Rangers in the 19th round of the 2007 draft out of the University of Kansas.
