Force Shut out on Purple-N-Pucks

Fargo Force News Release
Tonight for Purple-N-Pucks night, the Fargo Force took on the Youngstown Phantoms after falling to them 5-1 in last night's game. The Force made some changes in their lineup and started goaltender Robbie Beydoun in net. Last night the Force found that the Phantoms were lethal when they got a hold of the puck and that their defense was tough to get past. The Force were careful tonight to throw their bodies in front of all attacks on net and their defense was much stronger. At 12:21 in the first the Force squeezed a puck past Youngstown's goalie Ryan Bednard. Shane McMahan was credited with the goal, assists go to Jack Adams and Jake McLaughlin. The Fargo Force went into the second period up 1-0.
The second period was filled with evenly matched, strategic back and forth play until at 14:41 Hugo Reinhardt hammered a slap-shot goal past Bednard, putting the force up 2-0. Assists on that goal go to Niko Hildenbrand and Evan Bell. The Force held on to their two-goal lead all the way through the second. Only 1:43 into the third the Force put another on the board as Hank Crone snuck a backhanded wrister into the net, with assists from Charlie Gerard and Bradley Johnson, putting Fargo up a comfortable 3-0. With eight minutes left in play while the Force were shorthanded the Phantoms pulled their goalie in a risky attempt to capitalize on a two-man advantage however, Fargo's defense held strong and Youngstown was unsuccessful. Youngstown was unable to score and Robbie Beydoun and the Fargo Force shut out the Phantoms and won 3-0.
"Robbie Beydoun was a real inspiration to his teammates and that that is how a team works," said head coach Cary Eades. "You challenge each other to make one another better and do well when you are given opportunities and that is exactly what Beydoun did tonight."
