Richmond Flying Squirrels News Release
The San Francisco Giants have made the following transactions affecting the roster of Double-A Richmond:
OF Wendell Fairley received from San Jose (A+)...LHP Clayton Tanner (Hamstring) placed on the Disabled List...1B Drew Biery removed from Disabled List and placed on the Voluntarily Retired List by the Giants [24 + 2 DL]
The corresponding moves keep the Flying Squirrels at the Eastern League maximum of 24 active players. Two players (Tanner, RHP Osiris Matos) are currently on the Disabled List. Matos is presently rehabbing away from the team in Scottsdale, AZ.
