Tonight, the SeaWolves look for their longest winning streak of the season as they take on the Akron Aeros (Cleveland Indians) in the third game of a four-game series at Jerry Uht Park. Last night, the âWolves won their fourth straight, equaling their season-long winning streak, with an 11-9 win over the Aeros. The win put the SeaWolves back to their high water mark of two games above .500. Entering play today, the SeaWolves are alone in third place in the EL West, five games behind first place Harrisburg and game behind wild card leading Richmond...The âWolves send lefty Casey Crosby to the mound making his 14th start of the season and second against the Aeros. Akron beat Crosby on May 11. In the game, he tossed six innings, allowing two runs on three hits with six walks and five strikeouts. Crosby earned a win in his last start against Binghamton on June 27. In the game, he tossed 5.2 shutout innings allowing a hit with three walks and six strikeouts. The lone hit Crosby gave up came with two outs in the sixth. Erie won the game 7-1...Akron sends LHP Matt Packer to the mound making his 15th start and second against Erie. The SeaWolves beat Packer on May 10. That day, he allowed seven runs, five earned, on eight hits in six innings. Packer took a no-decision in his last start against Bowie allowing five runs on nine hits...The SeaWolves are one of 90 Minor League Baseball teams wearing Stars and Stripes Caps over the next three games. The caps will be auctioned off throughout the next three days with the proceeds benefiting Welcome Back Veterans. Caps are also available for purchase in the SeaWolves Team Shop.
