SERIES AT A GLANCE: The Flying Squirrels will complete a three-game series against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium tonight. Last night's game between Richmond and New Hampshire was suspended after three innings of play with score knotted at 0-0. Richmond starter Andy Reichard did not allow a hit in three innings of work and the right-hander issued one walk and struck out four batters. Fisher Cats starter Brett Cecil allowed just one hit in three innings of work. The game will resume in the top of the fourth inning tonight at 6:05 with Richmond batting. Right-hander Daryl Maday will be the first pitcher used by the Flying Squirrels when play resumes. After the completion of the suspended game, Richmond and New Hampshire will meet in a seven-inning contest. Right-hander Chris Heston will start the series finale for Richmond while New Hampshire is expected to counter with right-hander Deck McGuire. The Flying Squirrels went 2-4 against New Hampshire in 2011 including a 2-1 mark in Manchester. Richmond is 7-9 all-time against the Fisher Cats, including the 2011 ELCS, which New Hampshire won in four games. Richmond is 4-2 all-time in Manchester. The two teams will meet six times in 2012, three times in Manchester and three times in Richmond. Following this three-game series, the Flying Squirrels and the Fisher Cats will meet again in Richmond in next week (6/12-6/14).

TODAY'S PITCHERS: RHP Chris Heston vs. RHP Deck McGuire Heston: Makes his twelfth start of the season for the Flying Squirrels tonight. In his last start, Heston allowed a no hits and no runs along with one walk and one strikeout in just two innings pitched against Erie Friday. The game was suspended due to rain in the bottom of the second inning and Heston did not return when play resumed the following day. He received a no-decision in Richmond's 3-2 setback. Tonight's game will be Heston's first career start against the Fisher Cats. He currently leads the Eastern League in ERA (0.68) and WHIP (0.90) and he is tied for the league lead in strikeouts (60). Additionally, Heston ranks second in the circuit in opponents' batting average (.190). Last season, Heston went 12-4 and posted a 3.16 ERA, which led the California League, in 24 starts. with Advanced-A San Jose. His 12 wins tied him for second in the circuit behind current Squirrels teammate Craig Westcott. As a result, the 24-year-old right-hander was named a California League Mid-Season All-Star. Heston's success in San Jose came on the heels of a middling season with Low-A Augusta, in which he compiled a 5-13 mark with a 3.75 ERA in 26 starts in 2010. Heston owns a 23-24 record with a 3.05 ERA in 72 career minor league appearances, including 67 starts. The Palm Bay, Fla. native was originally selected by Minnesota in the 47th round of the 2007 June Draft, but he did not sign. He also did not sign after being picked by Washington in the 29th round of the 2008 June Draft. He signed with San Francisco after the Giants selected him in the 12th round of the 2009 June Draft out of East Carolina University.

McGuire: Makes his twelfth start of the season tonight. In his last start, McGuire allowed three hits and three runs, two of which were earned, along with a season-high five walks and a season-high eight strikeouts in 5.1 innings pitched at Trenton Saturday. He received a no-decision in New Hampshire's 6-5 setback in 15 innings. The right-hander split the 2011 season between Advanced-A Dunedin and New Hampshire. He went 7-4 with a 2.75 ERA in 19 appearances, including 18 starts, with Dunedin and was a Mid- Season All-Star in the Florida State League. After being promoted to New Hampshire, McGuire went 2-1 with a 4.35 ERA in four appearances, including three starts, with the Fisher Cats. Tonight's game will be his third career start against Richmond. He is 1-0 with a 5.00 ERA. He has a career minor league record of 11-11 with a 4.06 ERA in 34 appearances, including 32 starts. He was selected by Toronto in the first round of the 2010 June Draft out of Georgia Tech.

MAGNIFICENT MADAY: The Flying Squirrels will turn to right-hander Daryl Maday when last night's suspended game resumes tonight in the fourth inning. In 19 appearances, Maday is 2-4 with six saves in eight chances and a 4.02 ERA. He has worked two consecutive scoreless outings, totaling five innings. The former University of Arkansas standout has turned in seven scoreless outings in his last nine appearances. He has a career record of 40-41 with nine saves and a 3.89 ERA in 147 appearances, including 93 starts. He is tied for the most career wins (15) of any pitcher in the three-year history of the Flying Squirrels. Additionally, Maday has the most career losses (22) of any Richmond pitcher.

SHUTOUTS: Last night's game was the 12th shutout the Flying Squirrels have been involved in this season. With a 1-0 victory over New Hampshire, Richmond is now 7-5 in shutouts in 2012. No other team in the Eastern League has been involved in as many shutouts as Richmond has this season. The Flying Squirrels' seven shutout wins are the most of any Eastern League team, ahead of the Akron Aeros, which own a 6-1 mark in shutout games in 2012. Richmond has already won two shutouts in June as the Flying Squirrels blanked Erie 5-0 in a seven-inning contest on June 2nd.
