LAST GAME: For the second straight night, the Harrisburg Senators scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning and defeated the B-Mets in comeback fashion, earning a 4-3 win last night at Metro Bank Park. With a one-run lead, reliever Robert Carson inherited two runners from starter Collin McHugh and allowed both to score when Eury Perez lined a double down the right field line. The loss dropped Binghamton to three games under .500. The B-Mets pounded out 13 hits in the game, including six for extra-bases, but produced just three runs. Binghamton lashed five hits against starter Mike Ballard and scored three runs in the first inning, but failed to score in their final eight turns at bat. Ryan Tatusko tossed a scoreless seventh inning and earned the win after Perez's double. Erik Davis threw two shutout frames to earn his fourth save.

STARTING PITCHING MATCHUP: RHP Zack Wheeler (5-2, 1.88) takes the mound for the B-Mets for the tenth time this season and first time against the Senators. The righty has earned the win in each of his last five starts. Wheeler went 4-0 in the month of May with a 2.00 ERA. He defeated the Reading Phillies in his previous start on May 31, allowing just one run on three hits over seven innings. He fanned eight and did not issue a single walk. The Georgia native has thrown seven innings or more in each of his last three starts.

LHP Danny Rosenbaum (7-1, 1.75) makes his twelfth start of the season and second against the B-Mets. The southpaw comes off a win in his previous start against the New Britain Rock Cats on June 2. Rosenbaum allowed two runs on five hits and three walks over 7.2 innings. The lefty started the season started the season on a six-game losing streak before losing to the Reading Phillies on May 28. For a six-start stretch, from April 25 to May 23, Rosenbaum kept his ERA below 1.00. The Ohio native baffled the B-Mets back on May 5, allowing just one run on five hits over nine innings in a win.

LATE LEAD DISAPPEARING ACT: The B-Mets could not hold a one-run lead for the second straight night. The Binghamton Mets bullpen has blown a save in consecutive games, the first time they have done that since August 30 & 31, 2011. The B-Mets are 8-14 in games decided by two runs or fewer. They are 18-14 in games decided by three runs or more.

SAVES ARE HARD TO COME BY: The Binghamton Mets rank last in the league with just 7 saves. They have blown six save opportunities this season. The bullpen has pulled in just one save in the last 16 games.

AVOIDING THE SWEEP: The B-Mets have not been swept in a series of three games or more this season. They have dropped both ends of a rain-shortened series against the New Britain Rock Cats back in May.

WHEELING AND DEALING: B-Mets starter Zack Wheeler has the fourth-best ERA in the league (1.88), is tied for the league lead in strikeouts (60), owns the third-lowest WHIP (0.97), has held opponents to the lowest batting average (.169) and has compiled the best strikeout rate among starters (10.25 K/9IP).

PITCHERS DUEL AHEAD: Harrisburg starter Danny Rosenbaum also has his name all over the Eastern League leaderboard. The lefty owns the third-lowest ERA in the league (1.75), is tied for second in wins (7), leads the league in complete games (2) and innings pitched (77.0), has the second-lowest WHIP (0.95), and has allowed the fourth-lowest batting average in the league (.221).

ENDING ON A HIGH NOTE: While the B-Mets have gone 5-13 in the first game of a series, they have a record of 12-5 in the final games of a series. The B-Mets have capped each of their last three series with a victory.

NEXT GAME PREVIEW: The B-Mets head to Trenton, NJ for a three-game series against the Trenton Thunder starting tomorrow night at 7:05 PM. RHP Gonzalez Germen takes the mound for the sixth time as a B-Met against RHP Adam Miller .
