Lehigh Valley, Pa. - The Philadelphia Flyers have announced today that they have loaned forward David Kase to their American Hockey League affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms and have recalled forward Connor Bunnaman from Lehigh Valley.

Kase, 22, is in his second season with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms and currently has seven points (three goals, four assists) through 29 games this year. He set a career-high with three points, including two goals, on November 22 against the Charlotte Checkers. Kase was recalled by the Flyers on December 11 and made his NHL debut that night against the Colorado Avalanche. He scored his first NHL goal on December 17 against the Anaheim Ducks and his older brother, Ondrej. He has played 6 games for Philadelphia this season.

A native of Kadan, Czech Republic, Kase was drafted in the fifth round (#128) by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2013 NHL Draft. He played two seasons in Czech Extraliga for Chomutov Pirati from 2015-17 before turning pro and playing a season in the Swedish Hockey League for Mora IK in 2017-18. He posted 23 points on nine goals and 14 assists in 44 games in the Swedish Hockey League.

Kase has represented the Czech Republic numerous times in international tournaments, including three times in World Juniors (2015, 2016, and 2017).

Bunnaman, 21, made the Philadelphia Flyers out of training camp and made his NHL debut on October 4 against the Chicago Blackhawks in Prague. He played in four games for the Flyers and was loaned to the Phantoms on October 18. In 21 games for Lehigh Valley this year, Bunnaman has scored four goals and one assist for five points, and is currently riding a four-game point streak. During his rookie season in 2018-19, Bunnaman scored 19 goals and registered 13 assists for 32 points in 62 games. He ranked second on the team in goals and led all Phantoms rookies in scoring.

A native of Guelph, Ontario, Bunnaman was drafted in the fourth round (#109) over 2016 NHL draft by the Flyers after playing four seasons in the OHL for the Kitchener Rangers. He served as the Rangers captain in 2017-18 and totaled 155 points on 90 goals and 65 assists in 265 career games for Kitchener.
