Flames Assign Defenseman Kulak to Eagles

WINDSOR, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles, proud affiliate of the NHL's Calgary Flames and Adirondack Flames of the AHL, announced Wednesday that defenseman Brett Kulak has been assigned to the team by Calgary.

Kulak, a 6-foot-1, 185-pound blueliner was a fourth-round pick of the Flames in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft and has already seen action in 16 AHL games with both the Adirondack Flames and the Abbotsford Heat. The Stony Plain, Alberta native posted two goals and two assists in those 16 contests.

Prior to joining the Flames organization, the 20 year-old logged 216 games in the WHL with the Vancouver Giants, notching 35 goals, 93 assists and 107 penalty minutes. Kulak is expected to be in the Eagles line-up for their upcoming game with the Idaho Steelheads at the Budweiser Events Center on Wednesday.
