Evansville IceMen News Release

EVANSVILLE, Ind.- The Evansville IceMen, presented by Coors Light, made a few roster moves on Wednesday. Jakub Culek returned from the Binghamton Senators of the AHL, where he played two games with the IceMen's AAA affiliate. The Toronto Marlies also recalled IceMen Goaltender, Cal Heeter.

Culek rejoined Evansville in time to play in Wednesday morning's loss to the Elmira Jackals. The Czech forward picked up his second penalty of the season in the game. Culek had one assist in two games before being called up to the Binghamton Senators.

After spending time with the Toronto Maple Leafs training camp, Heeter will join their AHL affiliate, the Toronto Marlies for this weekend's games. In four starts with the IceMen, Heeter posted a record of 3-1, while stopping 92.2 percent of the shots he faced. Heeter leaves Evansville with a Goals Against Average of 2.24, after stopping 38 of the 41 shots he saw in Wednesday's game against Elmira.

With Heeter leaving, the Evansville IceMen have acquired Goaltender, Branden Komm. Komm played for the IceMen this preseason, appearing in two of Evansville's three exhibition contests. A rookie, Komm held a 2.46 GAA and stopped 92.3 percent of the shots he faced with Bentley University last season.
