New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release

Manchester, NH -Friday, May 22, will mark the kickoff of a 12-week-long partnership between New Hampshire's Double-A Baseball team, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, and the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department. Beginning that day, the Fisher Cats will launch the promotion, which will feature a sweepstakes to win a Walt Disney World Fishing Excursion, fun prizes and other game-time contests.

The promotion will take place during every home game at Merchantsauto.com Stadium, running for 12 weeks and ending in August. In addition to the grand prize sweepstakes of a Walt Disney World Fishing Excursion, features will include between-inning games and other prizes such as a fishing trip with the team and free giveaways.

"Our baseball players and a lot of our local fans have a natural love for boating and fishing, so this is the perfect partnership," said Fisher Cats President/General Manager Rick Brenner. "Who doesn't want to come watch great baseball, play some fun games and possibly win a Walt Disney World Fishing Excursion?"

The promotion, which will be embraced by more than 30 states' Minor League Baseball teams this summer, is an effort by the Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF) to help increase participation in boating and fishing nationwide.

"Last year's promotion was a huge success and we're making it even bigger and better this year," said NH Fish and Game Department Advertising and Promotions Coordinator Mark Beauchesne. "With the strong tie between baseball and fishing/boating, we're thrilled to be working with the Fisher Cats in bringing America's greatest pastimes together."
