New Britain Rock Cats News Release

New Britain, CT - This evening's scheduled 9-inning game at New Britain Stadium between the Rock Cats and visiting Portland was suspended in the top of the 4th inning due to heavy rain. The Sea Dogs were at bat with an 8-1 lead when the umpires halted play due to wet field conditions.

Tonight's suspended game will be resumed at 4:35 PM tomorrow afternoon and will be played to its full 9-inning conclusion. Approximately 30 minutes after the end of the suspended contest, tomorrow night's regularly scheduled 6:35 PM game will be played. That game will be 7-innings in duration.

Fans holding tickets for tonight's game may redeem them at the New Britain Stadium Box Office for any other 2009 Regular Season home Rock Cats game. Fans holding tickets for tomorrow night's regularly scheduled game may enter the Stadium early and see the completion of tonight's suspended action at no extra cost. Gates tomorrow will open at 4:15 PM.
