First Place Otters Open Weekend Series vs. Lake Erie

(EVANSVILLE, INDIANA) - The first place Evansville Otters (28-18) continue their six-game homestand with a series opener against the Lake Erie Crushers (26-22) on Friday night.
First pitch is set for 6:35 pm CDT at historic Bosse Field in Evansville, Indiana.
Fans wishing to purchase tickets for the game can call the Otters box office at 812-435-8686. Reserve seats are $9 and general admission tickets are $6.
Fans not going to the game can listen live on WUEV 91.5 FM and WUEV.org . Play by play announcer Mike Radomski and color commentator Bill McKeon will have the call beginning at 6:15 pm CDT.
Right-hander Trevor Walch (1-0, 3.00 ERA) will be on the mound for Evansville against Lake Erie righty Zac Treece (2-1, 1.76 ERA).
The Otters are 11-22 all-time against the Crushers. Evansville won two of three games at Lake Erie in early June.
Outfielder J.R. Higley is on a nine game hitting streak. Outfielder John Schultz enters today's action on a five-game hitting streak. Second baseman Josh Allen has hit safely in four straight games and shortstop Phillip Wilson is on a three game hitting streak.
The Otters are 16-9 at home this season and are 2-1 on the current six-game homestand.
