First-Place Grizzlies Return Home for Twilight Night

FRESNO, CA - The first-place Fresno Grizzlies return home to host the Las Vegas 51s for a four-game homestand beginning with Twilight Night, Saturday, June 26th at 7:05pm at Chukchansi Park. The Grizzlies own the best record in the Pacific Coast League and a nine-game lead over their next closest division rival.

Twilight Night will mark one the biggest nights of the year at Chukchansi Park. Fans voted through the Grizzlies' Facebook Fan Page during the month of May between a customized vampire (Team Edward) or werewolf (Team Jacob) jersey and Team Jacob has won this round. Grizzlies players will don the werewolf jerseys during the game, and they will be available for purchase through a live charity auction afterwards, with proceeds aptly benefiting the Central California Blood Center.

In addition, the Grizzlies will be giving away passes to the midnight premiere of Twilight: Eclipse, playing at midnight on Wednesday, June 30th. The first jersey auction winner will receive four of the coveted passes, as will the largest auction bidder that evening.

A special "Choose Your Side" ticket offer will also be available for the game. By using the promo code "Team Edward" or "Team Jacob" at the Chukchansi Park Box Office, fans will be able to purchase a $10 Super View seat, three dollars off the regular price, and sit in the section with the rest of their team. Fans who take advantage of this special offer will also be entered into the drawing for 11 pairs of tickets to the film premiere. Winners will be chosen from both sections throughout the evening. The evening's in-game entertainment will feature vampire and werewolf player headshots, competitions between Team Jacob and Team Edward sections, a "moody romance" cam, and much more. Fans are encouraged to dress up and show support for their team of choice. To round out the evening, fans will be invited onto the outfield grass as the second movie in the Twilight Saga, New Moon, will be shown on the Chukchansi Park video board following the game.

Throughout the week leading up to Twilight Night, the Grizzlies and Y101 are pleased to continue to support the CCBC and their Twilight Fans Blood Drive, running through Friday, June 25. Participants will receive a Team Jacob or Team Edward T-shirt when they donate at the Central California Blood Centers. Fans who wear their t-shirts to the game will receive a special 2-for-1 ticket offer for that night only, and can represent their team by sitting in designated sections.

The Grizzlies recognize that in spite of the popularity of the Twilight Saga, there will be fans in attendance that have an indifference towards or even a dislike of Twilight, who will be more interested in focusing on the baseball game being played on the field. For them, the same $10 Super View ticket will be available in the "Team Neither" section. Those fans can congregate together and appreciate the Buster Posey Jersey T-Shirt Giveaway, presented by CCBC, available to the first 2,000 fans through the gates. The catcher, who has since been promoted to the San Francisco Giants, is one of the recognizable players ever to have played in a Grizzlies uniform, and this will be a unique opportunity for fans to own a piece of wearable memorabilia from a marquee player.

Sunday, June 27th will be another Save Mart Sunday, presented by Save Mart Supermarkets, with a 6:05pm start. Festivities include a pregame Future Giants Autograph Session and Kids Run the Bases postgame, thanks to Subway. The Grizzlies will also continue with their Sunday Family Catch on the Field, inviting you to come out and have a pregame catch on the grass at Chukchansi Park. The organization will continue to offer this promotion for every Sunday home game the rest of the season, excluding July 4th.

Monday, June 28th marks another night of Monday Madness, presented by ABC 30. Fans can enjoy a family entertainment package that includes two Field Level Reserve tickets, two hot dogs, two sodas, two Wild Water Adventure Park passes and two Blackbeard's Mini Golf passes. A total package value of over $100, Monday Madness is available to Grizzlies fans for just $32 every Monday home game in 2010.

The four-game set wraps up on June 29th with Park N' Play Tuesday, presented by the Fresno Bee. Fans that park in any ACE parking lot will receive a free ticket for that night's game.
